OSTEOPATIA, UN AIUTO ALLE DONNE NELLE DIVERSE FASI DELLA VITA
Bellissimo articolo scritto da un Osteopata… quanto si può fare con le terapie complementari!!
Un luogo comune sostiene che tutti gli esseri umani siano simili: se con ciò si intende la costante presenza di una testa, di un tronco e 4 arti, l’affermazione non è sbagliata. Appare comunque più corretto dire che si possono distinguere due diversi tipi di essere umani, i maschi e le femmine, in cui sono individuabili precise differenze. Molti sono gli studi in merito alle differenze di genere; sembra che sin dai primissimi mesi di vita si abbia già le idee chiare sulla differenza tra i sessi, sia dal punto di vista sociale che da quello fisico; tali differenze non vanno ricercate quindi nell’abbigliamento poiché oggi giorno, soprattutto in occidente, è facile trovare donne che indossano sia i pantaloni che le gonne ricoprendo contemporaneamente ruoli differenti (madri, lavoratrici, cittadine, etc). Nel caleidoscopico ruolo che ricopre la donna ai giorni nostri è quindi immaginabile come nel corpo possano nascere degli squilibri che possono riguardare tanto l’intero organismo quanto i singoli sistemi. Nel nostro bel paese, anche se le donne vivono più a lungo rispetto agli uomini, si ammalano di più e, ancora troppo spesso, la loro domanda di salute non trova adeguata risposta né supporto nel sistema sanitario nazionale. L’osteopatia, negli ultimi anni è diventato uno strumento utile a migliorare la qualità di vita delle pazienti durante tutte le fasi della vita, poiché riequilibra le funzioni vitali attraverso lo stimolo neurovegetativo del tocco trovando, con le manipolazioni dolci, ampie indicazioni per tutte le fasce di età. Durante l’arco della vita di una donna, uno degli apparati che subisce continue sollecitazioni è l’apparato uro-genitale: complesso degli organi con funzioni di riproduzione, eliminazione di tossine attraverso l’urina e con funzioni endocrine. L’apparato è connesso allo scheletro tramite legamenti, muscoli e tessuto connettivo; in condizioni meccaniche funzionali, quindi, la struttura è strettamente collegata alla funzione e viceversa. In questo sistema, arricchito dalla presenza di terminazioni nervose in zona lombare e pelvica, responsabili della contrazione e del rilassamento dei muscoli, del corretto funzionamento del drenaggio linfatico e della vascolarizzazione del sangue, disfunzioni dell’osso sacro, del coccige, del bacino e della colonna lombare possono incidere sulla funzione degli organi e viceversa. Le stesse disfunzioni, se non vere e proprie patologie, possono essere causate ad esempio da cicatrici e dalle aderenze chirurgiche (anche esiti di appendicectomia o di precedente parto cesareo) o da esiti di infiammazioni locali e tensioni del pavimento pelvico (fasciali). L’apparato genitale inoltre va incontro a problematiche, anche in assenza di trauma, ancora più comuni come i dolori mestruali, di cui in Italia soffre circa il 60-90% delle donne in età fertile. Qualsiasi problema al sistema genito-urinario e agli apparati limitrofi come quello digestivo, può alterare la mobilità dell’area e causare modificazioni del tessuto, ostacolando l’adeguato apporto di sangue e la giusta informazione neurovegetativa. Un corretto funzionamento del diaframma toracico e pelvico riduce, di contro, il rischio di congestioni tissutali migliorando l’ossigenazione dei vari apparati e riducendo il rischio di incorrere in disfunzioni. Nell’ottica di un approccio di cura multidisciplinare che integri e migliori l’inquadramento diagnostico e l’iter terapeutico a vantaggio del paziente e in cui ciascun professionista contribuisca nella propria misura e secondo le proprie competenze, l’interazione tra osteopatia, ginecologia e ostetricia diventa un connubio importante, in grado di portare miglioramenti nella salute, aumentando la qualità della vita durante le fasi più importanti della vita di una donna. L’osteopatia, nel suo approccio complementare e naturale, stimolando l’organismo all’autoregolazione, ha lo scopo di ridurre e, quando possibile, eliminare l’uso di analgesici e antinfiammatori che la donna rischia di assumere per tutta la vita, prevenire eventuali interventi chirurgici ponendo enfasi sull’integrità strutturale e funzionale del corpo.

Il trattamento osteopatico se ripetuto nel tempo aiuta a fortificare l’organismo, evitando l’instaurarsi di quel circolo vizioso per cui la cura farmacologica è portata a subire ricadute poiché il farmaco lo ha reso più debole e dunque tende ad ammalarsi di più. Il trattamento osteopatico in ambito ginecologico, nello specifico, risulta una valida terapia di supporto alla medicina tradizionale e trova principali indicazioni nella cura ad esempio della sindrome premestruale e intermestruale (dismenorrea), nelle anomalie e nei disturbi vescicali, nel prolasso, in gravidanza e post parto (che approfondiremo in seguito), nel caso di ovaio policistico, endometriosi, aderenze pelviche, etc. L’osteopata quindi interviene per il recupero della mobilità della struttura, per diminuire le tensioni fasciali, cicatriziali, viscerali e per ridare armonia all’intero sistema, restituendo plasticità ed elasticità durante periodi in cui l’organismo della donna subisce forti stress.
