Sulla pelle possiamo esprimere le nostre emozioni. A volte le manifestazioni cutanee sono delle reazioni rilesse a stimoli ambientali di tipo chimico, fisico e relazionale.
Ogni reazione cutanea ha, alla sua base, un coinvolgimento di ormoni, citochine, enzimi anticorpi.
Ciò che si esprime sulla cute può dipendere da farmaci, agenti chimici e fisici ma anche semplicemente dalle emozioni. Ne sono esempi il rossore per imbarazzo, il pallore per uno spavento o la pelle d’oca per una forte emozione.
A volte una semplice parola può scatenare una reazione riflessa immediata: per esempio se pronuncio “scabbia” mi viene istintivo grattare. In caso di eventi più importanti tipo il cambio di abitazione, di partner, soprattutto in relazione a come ciascuno vive quel momento, si possono manifestare degli automatismi difensivi anche a carico della pelle.
La PNEI è una scienza che studia le connessioni neuroendocrine tra corpo e mente. Le cellule della nostra pelle presentano miliardi di ricettori sensibili alle nostre emozioni.
Nelle esperienze di Antonio del Sorbo, autore dell’articolo da cui ho tratto le mie considerazioni, così come nella mia esperienza quotidiana come ginecologa, ha assistito alla comparsa e/o alla scomparsa di eruzioni cutanee (orticaria, psoriasi) in relazione ad eventi in grado di mobilitare i neuromodulatori dell’asse PNEI. Per esempio una gravidanza interrotta sia spontaneamente che per volontà propria, l’arrivo di una gravidanza, la gestione dei figli, il distacco da essi.
La pelle costituisce spesso una vera e propria valvola di “SFOGO” delle nostre paure e dei nostri sentimenti. In tutto il dialogo che avviene costantemente tra le cellule cutanee che comunicano costantemente tra loro gioca un ruolo importante anche il MICROBIOTA CUTANEO che è costituito da miliardi di microbi. Questi microorganismi comunicano tra di loro ma anche in generale con tutto l’organismo che li ospita. In tal senso l’individuo che li ospita va valutato nel suo insieme prestando attenzione alla sua storia, alle sue emozioni e al suo vissuto.
La cura del paziente prevede di relazionarsi con lui in maniera EMPATICA ascoltando le sue paure, le sue sofferenze, la sua storia in generale e spesso così facendo, come ci insegna la medicina funzionale, si trovano le soluzioni alle manifestazioni multiple che l’organismo mette in atto a scopo di difesa.
